Why this course is needed?

This course is essential to ensure food handlers adhere to the requirements of the food safety act. It is compulsory for sole traders running catering businesses and kitchens to comply with the Food Standard Agency requirements, and usually a requirement for employees too.

This course covers a wide range of aspects in food safety, and helps employees protect a business and its consumers from food safety hazards.


 

Course Content

The course covers the importance of keeping themselves and their work areas clean and hygienic. It also ensures trainees understand the importance of keeping food products safe.

Assessment

Learners must complete 20 questions within 45 minutes, and achieve a pass mark of 66%.
